The usual

As with everything we ASD moms go through, my son once again, has to get yet another evaluation. Apparently, up until the child is 3 they are in the Early Intervention program where they come to the childs’ “natural environment”. After their 3rd birthday, they put them in a school setting where they will learn (i guess) in a structured environment. I know it’s hard enough to deal with change as a child, but as a frantic worrying mother, this absolutely sucks! I deeply appreciate all of my childs’ therapists and coordinators who have been there with me since the beginning. For atleast a year and a half, I have had the best therapy team anyone could hope for. I think i may be even more upset at this departure than my son. I don’t know what I’m going to do without them. How was your transition during this time? Can anyone else relate?
